In Closing....

Today we received a newsletter in our mailbox at work entailing the commencement ceremony details of last spring. Our Dean of middle school bid a warm farewell to the Class of 2008 and offered the following advice, "as you stand in the doorway of the future comes a caveat and responsibility. Be kind, give back, and be true to all. Be kind, it will always come back to you, you will know how much good it does, and how good it feels, to give of yourself and your time. Be true to yourself, to those whom you love, and to those who love you. When you do this you cannot help but to shine in all aspects of your life."

In reading this excerpt, I could not help but feel excited for this coming year and have the chance to witness the students evolve throughout the year. Just two days ago, I had a meeting with our Head of Elementary to check on my well-being and it gave me a chance to reflect. I must say, I'm still "in love" with this profession and look forward to evolving this year as well.
