Something to Chuckle....

My heart sank when I went on this blog and realized my last posting was in May! I pledge guilty for allowing life to take over and not enough time to document. It's been one memorable summer and filled with birthday celebrations, bridal showers, engagements, bachelorette parties, baby showers, traveling and is good.

As far as my career, I also took the final leap of becoming a teacher! This summer, I taught at the learning center for children from Kindergarten till 12th grade. Pretty diverse group and I was able to see which age group I would eventually like to work with in the future. I must admit though, the middle school kids are hilarious.

This year, I'm going to be teaching K-1 at an elementary school in Culver City! I am beyond excited because everything just feels right and I'm following my calling.

To share a story of one of the kids I taught this summer, her name is Victoria and she is 10 years old. Victoria's assignment was to create a sentence once she learns a specific word. Her word was "diet."

Victoria wrote:

My mom is always on a diet.

Hahahaha. I couldn't help but laugh inside when I read it. Kids are so funny =).
