Chicago

About two weeks ago, I was in Chicago and got to enjoy some nice, super cool weather. It was absolutely freezing, about 30 degrees and it reminded me of my days in NYC when I would commute through the snow and wait for the bus and train as I felt sorry for myself. But luckily, this time around there was no snow! I must admit, Chicago reminded me a lot of NYC except a little more condense. Overall, it was a great trip seeing Jim again. It's been way too long and my family and I miss him a lot. Jim's girlfriend and her little brother, Andrew made it out too. It was a lot of fun!

The first day, Greg and I were there only so we decided to venture out. We went to the Science Museum, checked out Michigan Avenue, saw the movie 'Borat' and walked around downtown. Jim's graduation was the next morning and I swear, his naval base looks like the Blair Witch Project. No wonder no one wants to runaway because where would you go? After the graduation, we took Jim out to dinner at the Grand Luxe in Chicago and walked around downtown. Then Jim had liberty (time off) on Saturday and we just hungout all day and had dinner at Lawry's. It was so good! Towards the end of the night, we were all pretty sad because it meant goodbye. We do not know when he'll be back home since he's scheduled to stay there until he receives clearance from the medical facility. Hopefully soon though....
