Tightening the hot pink scrunchee on the side of my hair and swinging my LA Gears between the seat, I was smiling because it was one of the best days of my ten years. My mom took Jim, Steven and I to Blue Bayou for dinner to complete our day at Disneyland. What a treat it was to experience the restaurant for every time we would ride Pirates of Caribbean, my eyes would gaze over to the candlelit area and I would whisper, "Mom, can we please go there one day?"
Taking the moment all in as we awaited for our meal, I leaned over to my mom and said, "Mom, I really like having candles with my dinner."
"You would like the lighting to be like this though? It's so dark Tam, how would you ever see the bones in your fish?" she joked back and at the same time curious of how a ten-year-old would like candles with her dinner.
"Really mom...I like candles with my dinner...it feels really nice," I responded with a smile.
This past month felt exactly that way...celebrating Mother's Day, birthdays, bridal showers, bachelorette party and time with my friends and family...I'm grateful for living and the people in my life.
Have an awesome week and wishing you moments of candles and dinner! ;)
